NOW AVAILABLE - Grace Quilting Frames!! Choose either the GMQ-Pro or the New Little Gracie II GMQ-Pro $1199.00 Little Gracie II $699.00
This fall, I started looking for a quilt frame. I have tons of quilt tops that are finished, but I really couldn't do a good job quilting them since I don't have a long arm machine and my Bernina has a really small head space. I had been looking for a frame that could accommodate my sewing machine but that could also accommodate a larger machine should I choose to use one in the future- like any of the machines with a larger space - Juki, Janome, Pfaff etc. Additionally, I wanted one that would size down small enough to set up in my sewing room, but I could enlarge easily in case I really felt compelled to do a king or queen sized quilt. Also, I needed to be able to take it apart and set aside when I wasn't using it daily and I wanted it to come with it's own table. I researched it a little - I looked at Hinterberg, Handi-Quilter and Grace. And discovered that I liked the Grace frame for all the reasons mentioned above and because it's a beautiful wooden frame. After I talked to the folks at The Grace Company, I REALLY liked the Grace Frame. They are wonderful folks and the frame is made in Utah and they give such good customer support. I was sold. So, I bought a Grace quilting frame (okay, I actually bought 3 - a quilting frame to use with my sewing machine, a hand quilting floor frame, and a hand quilting laptop frame). I love them all. Therefore, I decided that I should be a dealer for these frames that I love so much. At first, I was concerned about getting a quilting frame in the mail, and putting it together. Then I decided that lots of folks live in an area where they don't have access to a dealer who can put together a frame for them or provide lessons. Matter of fact, I live in an area where these services are not available. So, I thought... I can drop ship these frames to my customers and then provide online and over the phone help to get people started. Also, I will be able to set up frames and provide classes to folks that are local to me. I do pretty good phone support, since I used to do it for software companies. And quilting support should be a lot easier than that. I will set up a FAQ section and a blog and a chat session so folks can share their questions/suggestions. As soon as I received my frames, my concerns disappeared. The frames come with a wonderful CD that shows set up of the frames and a lot of other information. I watched the CD once, and then opened up my boxes. Inside the boxes are instructions with terrific step by step diagrams that I could follow. I was thankful that I had my UPS guy bring the boxes up my steps onto my front porch, because they were pretty heavy - about 65 and 83 pounds. So, I opened up the boxes in my entry way, and moved all the pieces to my sewing room as I put them together. I decided that I had better put it all together myself and turned down the offer for help from my husband- I figured that if I could put it together, anyone could put it together. And I would have experience that would allow me to help my customers put theirs together. MORE COMING SOON..........
